Daryl Harr –Trustee/ ChairpersonDaryl resides in the Rockies of beautiful North West Montana. Daryl has a diverse background that includes serving for over five years with a non-profit organization as a young adult. His passion for people has always been foundational in his entrepreneurial, creative approach with his business endeavors where he successfully built two separate companies in business and finance over the past forty years.
He first visited Panama in 2005 and became an investor in the Red Frog Beach Resort project in Bocas Del Toro. Soon thereafter, realizing the needs in the neighboring communities of the archipelago, he became involved in the fledgling Red Frog Foundation, Inc., and has continued to be involved today.
Arlene Runkel – Trustee/TreasurerArlene brings to the Red Frog Foundation's Office of Treasurer a diverse background of entrepreneurship, being raised in a family John Deere Farm Machinery business. This taught her finance, business, common sense and the rewards of volunteerism from early on. She and her husband Roger, of fifty-two years, have been real estate developers & landlords for thirty-six years. Arlene is a pilot with multi-engine, Instrument/Commercial/Instructor ratings. She's run her own Shaklee Health & Wellness Consulting business for thirty-six years and has been a piano music teacher for over fifty years. And she's smart enough to leave the farming business to Roger. Arlene and Roger were on the second Red Frog Exploration tour in 2004, when there were just goats and mud. But where they now have two villas (one with partners). Hard work has taught them to appreciate what it's taken to build Red Frog Beach and to respect the dedication seen in the native people of Bastimentos and Bocas del Toro, and their effort to better their island lives. She sees that it's time to pay it forward in helping these people and their communities, not just with our money, but with our respect and varied backgrounds of knowledge.
Danielle Lesser – TrusteeDanielle started her leadership opportunities while working at Herman's Sporting Goods in the early 1990s. Starting as a cashier she worked her way into the receiving manager position and then assistant manager of the store before turning her attention back to her education and then family life. In 2002, she started a floral and drapery design business from her home while living in Columbus Ohio which gave her the flexibility to care for her young family and continue working in mediums that she loves. Danielle has also served in many volunteer positions both in public schools and church organizations from directing variety shows, choirs or planning large special events. Most recently, she returned from living with her four children in Singapore for nearly 5 years where she studied Mandarin Chinese, attended lectures and history tours and fell in love with everything Asian. Volunteer work while in Singapore included being president of a large group of expatriate women, getting involved with several local and regional charities, and organizing the Halloween trick or treat event in the "American neighborhood" where busloads of Singapore locals joined the tradition with attendance in excess of 5000 people! Service and volunteer work is very important to Danielle and she often took advantage of opportunities with her family to volunteer while traveling throughout Asia.
